Regulations:

  • Music piece should be a minimum of 7 and maximum of 12 minutes long and must not be vulgar (contain inappropriate, lewd or offensive language).
  • Teams are requested to send the Google drive link of their tracks in .mp3 format to: [email protected] latest by 12th December 2018. Tracks should be submitted in the following format 'EVENTNAME_IITNAME_(1)_(2)'. Where, (1) is the entry number in case of an individual event with more than one submissions, (2) is the name of the participant in case of an individual event.
  • Props may be used to enhance the performance.

Time exceeding penalty:

  • 13 - 14: 10 marks
  • 14 - 15: 20 marks
  • After 15 minutes the music will be stopped along with a penalty of 35 marks.

The following is a list of popular Street Dance styles from early foundation to present:

  1. Locking
  2. Popping
  3. Bboying / Bgirling (breaking)
  4. Waacking / Punking
  5. Vogueing
  6. House Dance
  7. Party Dances or Club Dances (popular or trendy dances)
  8. Hip Hop Dance / Choreography
  9. Krumping
  10. Stepping / Gumboots

Regulations:

This will be a face-off round with the usual rules of eliminations. Some teams might get byes in this round.

  • One battle between teams will have three rounds.
  • Each battle will be of 4 minutes each.
  • Each round of a battle will be of 40 seconds.
  • The team which will go first will be decided by a toss at the beginning of the battle and there after the next team will go first in the next round and again the first team in the third round.
  • In each round both teams will have to perform on the same song.
  • Third round of each match will be a solo/duo type battle.
  • Solo performance is not allowed in round 1 and 2, a penalty of 10 marks will be imposed in case this rule is violated.
  • Any routine solo/duo/group should be performed for at least 30 seconds in a round.
  • Each participating team needs to send 3 songs in .mp3 format to the mentioned e-mail (songs from different genre are encouraged such as locking, popping, breaking, house etc) by 7th of December 2018. The song suggestions should be mailed in a Drive folder with the name EVENTNAME_IITNAME
  • In case the organising team feels that the team does not have sufficient number of songs, it will add songs on its own.
  • A pool of minimum 30 songs will be revealed on 9th of December from which songs will be played in a random order. The maximum size of the pool of songs will be 60.

The fixture will be decided according to the number of participating IITs and battles/byes will be decided by picking up chits.

Penalty:

  • If the rule mentioned for the 3rd round is not followed, a penalty of 10 marks will be imposed.
  • A penalty of 10 marks will be imposed for vulgar actions. extreme aggression or doing any such action which is inappropriate.

Event Description:

This is duo dance showcase competition (team event).

Duration of each performance:

2.30 - 6 minute including stage setup.

Regulations:

  • There will be a single showcase round.
  • Participants are allowed to use props for a part of their performance. No props will be provided by event organisers.
  • The music piece should be a minimum 2 minute & 30 second long.
  • Dance performance should not convey any indecent gestures.
  • Participants are requested to send their tracks in .mp3 format to [email protected] latest by 16th of December in the prescribed format: TBD (as there are 2 entries from each college)

Time exceeding penalty:

  • Deduction of 10 marks for every 30 second after 6th minute.
  • Music will be stopped after 7 minutes
